I was hoping to complete the Faustina Bargue Drawing before I break for the summer but unfortunately, everything was taking longer to render than I anticipated.

Has four years passed already? In May 2006, I spent the month traveling Peru and then hiking the Inca Trail to see Machu Picchu with Mike and Pete. I took tons of pictures while there with my old Canon S1. Looking back, the camera picture quality is no where near what a DSLR can capture. However, I can still use the pics as reference. I sketched the above image while playing around with digital brushes. I’ll try it again later in the summer with real media (graphite, charcoal, chalk).
I’m procrastinating on working on my Bargue. So, instead I experimented with some watercolour digital brushes. It was difficult to push the darks with this brush.
